The best of Friuli Venezia Giulia at the Cannes Festival

Everyone was talking about Friuli Venezia Giulia at the 66th Cannes Film Festival. In recent days, the osmiza set up in Rue Blanc by the staff of the film Zoran my Stupid Nephew directed by Matteo Oleotto, produced by Igor Princic and starring Giuseppe Battiston, has been hosting directors, producers, actors and journalists from the international film scene. The staff of the film—shot this past fall in Friuli Venezia Giulia and Slovenia and set largely in an osmiza—was recently present at the Cannes Festival on the eve of the film’s official presentation in an upcoming international film festival, but which one has yet to be announced. The production of Zoran involved the partnership of a number of Friuli companies, including the Gradisc’iutta, Fraccaroli and Isola Augusta wineries, Dolomia water and the San Daniele prosciutto consortium, all of which played a major role in the events organized by the film’s press and PR office. Actors, directors, journalists and celebrities from all over the world met at the osmiza between 6 and 9 pm (its opening hours) to comment on what had happened during the day at the festival while sipping in the company of the Zoran staff the excellent wines of its sponsors accompanied by superlative San Daniele ham, all much appreciated by guests.
