Company
We bottle the purest mineral water that flows from the Friulian Dolomites Natural Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with passion and respect for the environment. Dolomia, as created by unspoilt nature, is for the wellbeing and drinking pleasure of all consumers who believe that not all waters are equal, who know that our bodies are mostly made of water that must be constantly replaced, and who therefore only choose the best.
The Brand
Every detail of Dolomia water is chosen with care.
This philosophy helped the company to choose the product name,
create the logo, and define the bottle and label design.
The Dolomia name
Dolomia water takes its name from the dolomite rock from which it springs, and from which it absorbs the precious elements that make it unique.
Dolomite rock is one of the main components of the Dolomite Mountains group.
The logo
A graphic image that represents balance and how the two components, rock and water, complement each other.
The dolomite rock permeates the deeply-filtered waters, creating the hydrogeological basin that feeds the Dolomia spring.

Company History
The company started in 2001 from a courageous idea of its founding members, who, thanks to the tales of the older generation of Cimolais (Pordenone, Italy), realised that the many sources of light, exceptionally pure mineral water that flowed in Val Cimoliana on the slopes of Cima dei Preti mountain, could be used, thanks to their initiative, to establish a bottling plant and create an important opportunity of sustainable development for the entire Valcellina mountain area.
Construction of the water-intake system at the source at Gote area in Val Cimoliana was completed, including over 8km of water piping that leads right to the plant.
Construction of Dolomia Water’s modern bottling plant, including two bottling lines, was also completed in the Municipality of Cimolais (PN), Pinedo, on a wide plain surrounded by beautiful and picturesque mountain scenery.
Production and marketing of Dolomia mineral water began in late Spring 2008. The name of the water and the related brand was quickly identified as “Dolomia”, which is the rock on which the water lies for a long time, absorbing its best components such as magnesium, calcium and bicarbonate, before flowing clear, cool and pure from the spring.
The perception of the purity and environmental prestige of the mountains from which Dolomia water flows was authoritatively confirmed in 2009, when UNESCO recognised the entire Friulian Dolomites Natural Park, where the Dolomia water source is located, as a Natural World Heritage Site.
The installation of a new PET production line in Spring 2016 will offer an increased production capacity, thus ensuring and increasing the supply of products to current and future partners.
Cutting-edge technology
The entire plant, the transport and bottling lines and all the equipment have been made using the most cutting-edge technology, bottling the water as it falls – without using storage tanks – ensuring the best standards of automation and fully guaranteeing that all of the water’s original physico-chemical, organoleptic and purity properties are conserved.
Acqua Dolomia, enhancing and protecting the region and developing its economy
The water that falls wildly in torrents, appearing suddenly and plunging from the highest cliffs, is Val Cellina’s main resource. Dolomia began as an initiative of some entrepreneur friends who intended to promote it, and use it as an opportunity to bring revenue to the area.
At the time of launching the initiative they worked in collaboration with the Friulian Dolomite Natural Park to find the most suitable solution for piping the spring water to the plant, in order to protect the territory and minimise the environmental impact.
Concern for the environment
Although there is an enormous quantity of water that can be bottled, there is a limit placed on its collection in order to avoid an increase in traffic and resulting pollution in the valley, a precious place from an environmental point of view.
Great attention to the environment even in the choice of packaging. Dolomia’s strategies are characterised by choices such as the use of minimum-impact packaging and the identification of eco-compatible processes.
The choice to use non-returnable glass
Non-returnable glass is the Acqua Dolomia packaging option that has least impact on the environment, as it avoids the use of detergents and substances that could end up being discharged into streams. A necessary choice that respects the uncontaminated area from which Dolomia Water originates.
